Converging Corners Love Llamas Baby Quilt

Although this little quilt is from wayyy back in the summer, isn't its palette perfectly festive for the holidays?

For this baby quilt, measuring up at about 40x60 inches, I used Film in the Fridge's Converging Corners Block tutorial, one that has been LONG on my to-sew list. I love how the piecing method is improvisational, yet the results are all squared up!

Lotta Strips Baby Quilt

Making a strip quilt is one of my favorite ways to showcase fabrics in a baby quilt!  This one is made with mostly Lotta Jansodotter prints, with a few extras thrown in. I love these fabrics for a not-too-girly quilt for girls :)

Shockwave Squares Scrappy Baby Quilt

Gender-neutral, and "for boys" quilts as well, can really be a challenge for me. I have no problem using the whole gamut of colors for girls, so my stash is all over the place, but I tend to like floral prints too much for all of those same fabrics to also work for boys.

Baby Irish Chain Quilt

I love Irish Chain quilts, and I can't quite believe it took me this long to realize that they can be made simply from alternating nine-patch and background squares!

Boats! Baby Quilt

Boats, boats, boats!  That's pretty much what a coastal Maine summer becomes if you have anybody even slightly nautical in your life :)

This little quilt is a celebration of a new baby who will certainly (especially now) grow up to be a boat lover!

Improv Neutrals Baby Quilt

This quilt is one of my very favorites!  Inspired by a long-time flickr favorite of mine, I used a mix of neutrals with bright centers in improvised log cabin blocks.

Flying Geese Baby Quilt

New year, new quilt!  Wishing everyone a wonderful year to come!

This little guy measures up at 35 x 58 inches, with 8 x 18 flying geese units!  I like the second method here, which makes four units at a time with truly minimal waste.
